TOTEM + TOWER PROJECT - What Is It???
The Totem Tower Project is Simple Civilian's latest large-scale, ambitious art undertaking. The proposal is a community driven art project designed for any city and local arts community wanting to host it. The finished artwork will be given or donated to its host city or its chief designers.
The concept merges two ideas as one: architecture & culture. With your expert assistance and your local communities artistic involvement, we will collaborate to construct a multi-level wooden tower and have the local arts community design individual components to be integrated onto tower.
Totem + Tower Process:
1. take our brightest minds to design & build the tower
2. have the community create small faces, noses, beaks, wings, teeth, eyes, etc.
3. integrate the community's artistic contributions onto walls of the tower
